From Nothing 2 Something
Often requested - finally here: images from our basement. Turned out pretty slick, once everything came together.
Before that it was a roller-coaster. Even though every step was cool, the size of the project turned each step into a tedious and seemingly never ending ordeal. I don’t know what was worst. There was a lot of wiring going on.
Bear thinks the insulation was worst (only step I forgot to take pictures of). This because that stuff went into everything and itched like crazy. Personally I can’t decide if it was the cutting of the drywall, the mud and taping or the sanding and patching of where we hadn’t done the mudding nicely in the first place. Even the painting, usually something I enjoy, became painful after an 8 hour day.
Laying down the carpet was probably the nicest to do because not only did we know that we where done after this step but also seeing it coming together was cool and most of, we knew that after that Wombat could finally move in and our garage would transfer to it’s original purpose of being a garage.
We where done on the 23 December 2003 (just perfect for being able to relax in the following Xmas days) - and after all the sweating and aching, I do have to say that I think it was worth the effort, turned out really nice!
