13:00:00 – The beams are down. Less of an hassle than I thought they would be. Only a few dents into the ceiling which will be easily fixed.
18:05:30 – All packed and wrapped in plastic. Ready for the horror #2: scrape down the popcorn ceiling.
Did some cooking – fantastic smelling Rosmary Foccacia – and some client work inbetween. Now it’s time for a foccacia dinner and then let the scraping begin!
22:00:00 – Not only was dinner delicious, but we went also for a drive in the Mini Cooper and for the first time did I go off the parking lots and hit the general roads. Still having a hard time with brain and muscle coordination – doing the right thing at the right time – I baraley can imagine that one day this will be as fluid as when I used to drive my Yamaha Enduro motorcycle.
After that I indeed began with the scraping. Half of the ceiling is done and down. And once again, what a pain in the neck, literally! Not only does one get burned by splattering, boiling hot water dripples from the spray bottle, the constant looking up, really gets to the neck. But half is done!
