Family Photo Gallery

Leaves turning yellow.

We mulched and picked up a lot of leaves today, but the front yard is only 1/2 done. It began then to rain, such a bummer for the kids going from door to door for Haloween!

Created today a Family Photo Gallery which allows family members (after registration) to upload their photos to share. We have had enough often the request for such a place and here it is.

On the technical side: One of the cool things about it is that a member can select various images he/she likes via a so called Lightbox and then download all selected as one collected .zip file. Quite convenient! Also, its PHP and MySQL and the styling can be done via CSS. I haven’t gone crazy in trying to come up with a great design, but I adjusted it somewhat and added a nicer header than the default, to make it more personal. It allows for single image upload or FTP, mass resizing of images and auto-generation of thumbnails, commenting and rating, next to sending out eCards, which is a nice addition.
