Sad News
Bear just told me the sad news that the marriage of friends of ours is at a sharp turning point. This means that we will have a new house guest for a few months while severe changes in their lives will be taking place.
They where having problems, but in the recent few months I had seen him changing a lot and making commitment which I really saw as great improvements. But seemingly it was not enough change for her.
It made me very sad, it is hard to see friends going appart, it is hard to see a marriage that lasted 16 years dissapearing, it is sad seeing people hurt and to see someone age in just one day. And of course, there are children and I remember how it hurt me when my parents separated.
Most of all I hate seeing things happening to people, pain and such, knowing there are ways they very potentially could solve their marriage, and if not solve, then at least go appart as friends. At the same time I know that this is not a way they would consider. But this time I can’t sit still, I will have to at least try and see if they would take that chance. Even if not the full Monthy, at least some things they could do, just at least to the point that there are not 2 wreckage’s but futures with possibilities. For their sake, but also for their children.

Today our visitor moved out and back to his wife. She is willing to give it another try. I wish them both the best and hope they will stick with working on their relation - it will take some effort to keep that marriage going and build not only on sand of hope but something they can share and depend on and what will give them a shared future.
