I had thought about something like this – though I just would have done a search and replace via BBEdit on the WP folder and then uploaded – but maybe still good to have: Notes from a desi geek. » Script to rename wp-admin – WordPress Admin Folder

    Ah, I see. Thanks for the info. Sorry, I am not on Linux but on a Mac and OS X. Also, right now I would be a bit worried to ‘test it out’ as I have quite some plugins and modified PHP on my site – I’m planning to upgrade WP when 1.5 is out and would test stuff like this on the clean install.

    I would like to point out that it’s not a simple search and replace hack.
    If you are on Linux box and can test the installation script for me, it will be great!
