Seven

Seven (New Line Platinum Series)

No, not the movie SEVEN but seven it is. Seven years of marriage. It doesn’t seem to be that long but it’s like with age: the length of time becomes some abstract number which is so irrelevant and disjointed from me and my life that it turns strange and odd and just that - nothing but a number, even though I try and compare it to other things in my life, it remains nothing but a mathematical symbol.

The one thing which IS cool to remember about that day is HOW WE GOT MARRIED - online and live on a Hotline server (which was physically, at the time, somewhere in Hongkong). And then, even nicer and more romantic: how we met in the fist place. And for me, the first talk, the first email, the first sight, the first touch; THAT are the dates for me to remember as importancies, marriage itself - for me - is not much more than an administrative agreement to hold up the decision we had made ahead already: yes, we want to stay together. Next to that, this yearly day gives us the excuse to enjoy expensive food and a movie and to do something special if we so wish.
