I've aproved the above comment as I do believe caution must be used - with anything "home applied" - and this might be just THE reminder for you, not to take any advise or suggestions you hear or see without research and a healthy dose of caution.

This page is still one of the biggest hits on search engines, so yes, I do not take any responsibility for good or bad peroxide might bring in your life - you can read the above article and all the comments I get on it, but you use it on your own risk.

I am writing about the article on the uses of peroxide and how seriously dangerous it is to follow the advice where any contact with the body is involved. I used peroxide in my mouth as advised. I have had three doctors visits and will not be healed until February. I needed steroid paste and a visit to an oral surgeon. The peroxide chemically burned the entire inside of my mouth to the second and third degree. The pain has been excrutiating. While at the oral surgeon, he told me of a man who went deaf because he used peroxide in his ears and burned a hole through his eardrum. Please take this email seriously and warn your readers not to use the peroxide. I would very much appreciate a response so that I know that you will help me get the word out and save others from this misery.
Sincerely,
Pat Weatherford

Myself I wouldn't know - I also believe that one has to test for oneself what truly works, people are different and thus the reactions will vary grately. If I remember correctly, I did use a diluted hydrogen peroxide solution to clean out my ears about 5 years ago - but not 100% sure if my memory is correct, so take it with a grain of salt!

Keeping hydogen peroxide in my mouth for 10 minutes is way too long. In fact, one minute is all my gums can stand.
Is it possible to use hydrogen peroxide for your ears to get rid of wax build up?
