Red Sweater Blog – Red Sweater Acquires MarsEdit

Mixed feelings for now on this one. I use MarsEdit since years on a daily basis with this and other WordPress blogs, and I LIKE it, with only a few little quirks or wishes around. So what is going to become out of it now? I much rather keep it as is then having suddenly to deal with a bloated piece of software. Yeah, so far I am weary, not knowing what to expect. But I have to give them the benefit of the doubt, obviously some people think it went into the perfect hands, so I do hope that these enthusiasts know what they are talking about and that MarsEdit will remain this smooth piece of software that I like so much:

Red Sweater Acquires MarsEdit

You read that right, no need to run for another cup of coffee. MarsEdit, the kick-ass, intuitive web-publishing powerhouse which I’ve been using to write entries here since I started blogging almost two years ago, is now part of the Red Sweater family of products. What an exciting day!

Hi Marlyse! I for one fall into the category of feeling that it fell into the perfect hands :)

But seriously … I hate bloated apps, too. The basic character of MarsEdit is not going to change, it’s just not going to be frozen in time, as it has been for the past year or so.

Hope you’ll stay tuned and withhold final judgment until seeing a few much-needed improvements come out.
