The Countdown has begun.
Only 3 weeks until my mom will be here.
Haven’t seen her in 7 years – distances of locations are vast (compared to this planet, not the universe). Looking forwards to the visit.
So now the countdown for things being done until then has begun (build the new TV stand, get the big monster TV downstairs, get new stove installed, oh, get the house CLEANED, and so on)… several things we have already also begun to postpone for getting done AFTER her visit (e.g. 2 windows replacement), and several items are right now on the only maybe list (e.g. french door installment).
I do like visitors, and I also like a clean house. Having visitors in a clean house on top of each other is a good combination, as knowing that somebody soon will be staying with us puts just enough pressure on me to finally clean also these niches and crevices which I’ve meant to clean for so many months but successfully had been too lazy for.
