New field.
Due to a project I am working on, I need to familiarize myself with Joomla! and this is what I’ve been doing today most of the day. After all these years of working with WordPress, it is almost a bit odd for me to dive into this world. Thrown out of my comfort zone - creating WordPress templates at this point in time is a breeze to me - I now have to dig into this one. At first the backend seems confusing and unorganized compared to other CMS applications I have looked at, but the fault was mine as I installed the first version of Joomla! with “filler data” and that made it kinda confusing. Once I re-installed an empty version and worked my way through some videos, the concept became clear and understandable. At this point I am not worried about setting up Joomla! nor the content, but the template and CSS is still an unknown, even though I have found a list of all classes used to style the templates (around 280 different ones!!). Hopefully in a week from now I will have it all under control.

DNSChanger Trojan Horse Removal
Keeping this link not so much for it’s current offering, but knowing that with the increased usage of Mac’s more hackers will find joy in terrorizing users - usually nothing of concern for me, next to being on a Mac I am also protected behind a firewall and router - it’s like many of the insurances, sometimes it is more about peace of mind than really needing it, and I could see this time coming at some point in the future that I want to just ensure all is safe on my machine.
The DNSChanger Trojan Horse, also known as OSX.RSPlug.A and OSX/Puper, has been found on numerous pornographic websites disguising itself as a video codec. Once downloaded and installed, DNSChanger changes the DNS settings on the computer, redirecting websites entered by the user to malicious sites. If personal information is entered on these malicious websites, it can lead to identity theft.

Welcome to my Tumble log.
Yes, now I have my own. Wonder what a it is? Head over to gasp at it or read up on it at Wikipedia.
To cut it short, it is another way of dispersing me and will replace as of now the myPligg pages (which, BTW. can no longer be accessed at this point).
Want to follow it? You can subscribe to it as RSS feed. There is also a link here on my blog to the right hand which allows you to find your way back to it.

Literature and Latte - Scrivener
Just one of these links I do not want to lose.
Writing a book, short story or research paper is about more than hammering away at the keys until it’s done. Research, scrawling fragmentary ideas that don’t seem to fit anywhere yet, collecting faded photos from old newspapers, shuffling index cards to find that elusive structure - most writing software is only fired up after much of the hard work is already done. Enter Scrivener: writing software that stays with you from that first, unformed idea all the way through to the first - or even final - draft. Outline and structure your ideas. Take notes. Storyboard your masterpiece using a powerful virtual corkboard. View research while you write. Track themes using keywords. Dynamically combine multiple scenes into a single text just to see how they fit. Scrivener has already been enthusiastically adopted by best-selling novelists and novices alike - whatever you write, grow your ideas in style.
